Ammo is easing up, I Think.

June 18, 2009

I have been receiving calls for parents and family members wanting to go shooting and teach their children and family members the use of a firearm.

It also seems that ammo seems to be flowing slowly back on the market. In addition to this, many retailers such as Wal-Mart and Scheels are limiting the amount of ammo an individual can buy in a 24 hour period. It this a good idea?

On one side you have hording or ammo by individuals and then reselling it at a highter price.

On the other hand you have the limitations associated with only being able to purchase a few rounds but more people having access to ammo.

Hording is wrong and limitation on ammo is just a stepping stone to limiting the amount of ammo an individual can have.

You decide. As for me, as soon as the fear disappears of firearms being restircted, things will get back to normal.

Speaking of normal, look at Iran and the elections. The government is censoring the web, media and reporters from relaying the actuality of the situation. Then look at the US and how ABC is only allowing one side of the Health care issue to be reported.

Back to arms, this is the only way our Constitution has teeth to protect the freedoms given to all Americans.

I think ammo is easing up.

Bachelor Parties Take on a new Direction in Entertainment

June 10, 2009

Nevada Gun seem to attracting a new clientele. Bachelor

parties. This seem strange, but it is a far cry from drunken all nighters and questionable night time entertainers.

First, you and not shoot when you are drunk and second, I have yet to see anyone fire a full automatic machine gun and not smile after the first burst.

No only is it fun, but some skill in required to hit a golf ball and make it fly down range. Want to blow up some watermelons, ice blocks or hit metal targets. It is better than a video game.

Who knows what else you will see on the range? Perhaps a mini gun or an M-60 Door gun blowing the heck out of anything in its path.

So if you are looking for something different in a bachelor party, Give a shot.

If you do not know how to shoot? Do not worry. We have range masters that will gladly assist you. They are not like your old DI’s. Or Masters are all certified to carry and have had real life experiences in the profession of arms.

See you soon.

Family Recreational Shooting

June 1, 2009

This last weekend I had the pleasure of introducing various firearms to some young adults.

Their father made arrangements for them to come out and fire various firearms including MP5, AK 47, AUG, SKS, M-14 and some 22 caliber pistols.

They young men had played video games in the past as well as shot skeet but have not had the chance to fire military rifles. They jumped at the chance.

They learned the difference on the accuracy of all of the weapons and gained a new respect for the firearms. They learned that this was very different from playing video games, where you have no malfunctions and unlimited ammo, to firing the real thing.

At the end of the day, they all gained a new respect for the operation of the guns and became more safety aware then in the past.

Maybe it is time for you to bring your charges out and teach them the respect for firearms and the difference between a video game and the real thing.
